Secondly, the political campaign will be heated up in
September 2008. We have therefore shifted the peace rally to 25th September,2008, and the launching of the Chapter shall also come on 25th October, 2008.

It was three months ago that I started my second fund raising drive for Touch India. This time the goal was to build four drinking water purifiers for Thomas Memorial English School and Thomas Children???s Home in Bangalore, India.  The second goal was to provide funds to the organization to repair their school buses ??? some of which were badly in need of new brakes, shocks, and tires.

With the help of you and more than fifty other sponsors, I raised a little over $10,000 for Touch India. The sponsors came from all over the world and each gave anywhere from a few dollars to more than $1,000! Because of your and others??? generosity, we were able to inaugurate all the water purifiers and make the needed repairs to Touch India???s school buses.

There is a special sort of contentment I get when I see deep gratitude and happiness on a child???s face and know that in some way I was part of making it happen. I hope you will find similar joy in this achievement.

I have posted some pictures and videos of my recent trip to India???images can tell a story far better than words and my hope is that through these you get a sense of how important this project was. The school has wanted to provide these water purifiers for years and it was a very special day when those first drops of cool and clean water flowed into the school.
